THE QUINTESENCE OF PEACE AND RELAXATION
Jambiani is an enchanting village located in the central part of the east coast of Zanzibar. As soon as you wake up, you will be awaited by a soothing view of the turquoise waters of the ocean splashing against the stunning white-sand beaches. You will also be able to view the constant spectacle of ebbs and flows, which is hard to miss at this place – the water recedes almost to the horizon. Each tide of the ocean reveals the typical landscape of Jambiani – stakes of underwater algae cultures and women in colorful kangos bustling around them.

INFORMATION AND INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ZANZIBAR
Swahili – phrases
In Zanzibar, life flows to the rhythm of the words "pole, pole" - slowly, slowly and "hakuna matata" - don't worry. These phrases perfectly reflect the temperament of this place and the openness and cordiality of its residents. JAMBO - hello, MAMBO - hi, HAKUNA MATATA - don't worry, POLE, POLE - slowly, slowly, KARIBU - hello, welcome, ASANTE - thank you, KWAHERI - goodbye.
The great ocean tides
Zanzibar is famous for its great tides. These regular water level movements are due to the gravity of the Moon on Earth. During low tide, the water moves back from several hundred metres to even 2 kilometres. When the water disappears, you can walk on the bottom of the ocean, which then reveals its treasures.
Arusi – wedding in Swahili culture
A wedding in Zanzibar lasts at least a few days. The condition for concluding a marriage is to make a payment - it is paid into the hands of the bride's father. The bride and groom do not take the oath together because the groom pronounces it in a mosque where women are not allowed. The traditional wedding dress of the bride is green - unfortunately, it is being more and more often replaced by white dresses from the West.
